We are offering Female Health Clinics every Wednesday with Dr Barbara Kromer or Dr Els Gillis
We are delighted to say that contraception is free to women between the ages of 17-35 as long as you have a PPS number.

You can access the free contraception scheme if you are:
- A woman or person with a uterus
- Aged 17 to 35
- Living in Ireland
What is included in the free contraception scheme?
- Any GP appointments about your contraception options
- Contraception prescriptions from your doctor (at participating pharmacies)
- Emergency contraception (the morning-after-pill)
- Fitting, removal and check-ups of long-acting reversible contraception (LARCs)
- Other types of contraception such as contraceptive injections, implants, IUS and IUDs (coils), the contraceptive patch and contraceptive ring
- Prescriptions for combined oral contraception (the daily pill)
Some products may not be on the HSE reimbursement list and will not be provided free of charge.
We recommend that you book a GP consultation to discuss the different options that are available to meet your needs. We suggest that you allow a half hour consult with your GP re same – for those who do not qualify for the free Contraception Scheme the initial half hour consultation with the GP is @ €120.00 (including full blood testing)
